LateRooms.com - Experience the Passion of Belen Maya in Seville
Belen Maya will perform at the Teatro Lope de Vega on April 5th 2011.
SEVILLE, SPAIN, March 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- There is a treat in store for flamenco enthusiasts spending time in Seville next month, as critically acclaimed dancer and choreographer Belen Maya is going to take the stage.
She will perform a piece entitled CIA with Olga Pericet, accompanied by singers and guitarists.
The show will take place on April 5th at the Teatro Lope de Vega and its tagline translates as 'joyful dances for sad people'.
Maya is the daughter of renowned flamenco performer Mario Maya, who passed away in 2008, but she has carved out a reputation of her own.
Born in New York, she started dancing at the age of 18 and formed her own company in 1997 called La Diosa en Nosotras, which means 'the goddess in us'.
Fans of the genre may also recognise her from the 1996 Carlos Saura movie Flamenco.
According to the Teatro Lope de Vega, CIA demonstrates how she has matured as an artist.
Tickets for the show cost between EUR4 and EUR21 (GBP3.45 to GBP18.20). The performance will begin at 21:00 local time.
Flamenco fans can book accommodation in Seville at LateRooms.com, with the website recommending options such as the Hotel Don Paco Seville.
