Flights of Fantasy will bring youth dance groups from across Cornwall together for a performance based on myths and legends.

On Sunday January 23rd, the Hall for Cornwall in Truro is set to host Flights of Fantasy, an evening of contemporary dance in a variety styles.

The performance is the annual U Dance platform by The Works (Dance and Theatre Cornwall), which brings together youth dance groups from across the county.

A theme of myths, legends and fairytales will provide the basis for the choreography, meaning the event is sure to keep audiences captivated as they embark on a fantastical journey.

Tickets are priced between GBP5 and GBP8, with the performance due to begin at 19:00 GMT.

Hall for Cornwall is a popular venue among holidaymakers staying in the luxury hotels Cornwall has to offer, with roughly 180,000 people attending plays and concerts there over the course of the year.

The theatre is currently staging its annual family pantomime, with Sleeping Beauty due to run until Monday January 3rd.

Tim Brinkman, the director of Hall for Cornwall, recently announced that he will leave his post next year after being headhunted by the Arts Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
