Robert Davidson celebrated for his extensive professional experience


DENVER, CO, August 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Davidson, Head of Movement for The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of his career.

Mr. Davidson has 29 years of professional experience and 12 years in his current position. As the Head of Movement, he is responsible for instructing Skinner Releasing techniques, movement, improvisation and aerial trapeze dance. Prior to joining The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, he worked as an associate for the Department of Dance and Music at the University of Washington from 1969 to 1976.

Mr. Davidson led his own aerial dance company for 10 years after joining the faculty at the University of Washington. A member of the International Skinner Releasing Institute, Mr. Davidson did graduate level ethnomusicology at the University of Washington. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from Hamlin University, magna cum laude with special distinction in composition, piano and voice. He is a frequent instructor and performer at the International Aerial Dance Festival in Boulder, Colorado.
