Alyce Carella-Signor Receives Professional Networking Community's Highest Honor
Alyce Carella-Signor named Entrepreneur of the Year in dance instruction


WEST HARTFORD, CT, July 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alyce Carella-Signor, Artistic Director and Owner of Alyce Carella Dance Center, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in Dance Instruction. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named entrepreneurs of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.

A skilled dance instructor, Alyce Carella-Signor boasts 50 years of professional experience in her field. As proprietress of her own dance studio, she is responsible for overseeing operations and teaching recreational and professional-level ballet, jazz, tap, pointe and lyrical dance classes for children and adults. Additionally, she consults with parents, supervises fellow dance instructors and arranges recitals, which are held every May at Central Connecticut State University.

Prior to establishing Alyce Carella Dance Center, Ms. Carella-Signor danced professionally at the world renowned 500 Club in Atlantic City, performed alongside notable celebrities including Sammy Davis, Jr., Nat King Cole and Liberace, and worked as Director of Dance at Miss Porter's School, a boarding and day school for girls in grades nine through 12, for 20 years. A love of the performing arts and a desire to teach others to dance prompted Ms. Carella-Signor to become involved in her profession. She attributes her success to passion for her profession, and considers having her studio recognized as the best dance school in the Greater Hartford area to be particularly gratifying.

Ms. Carella-Signor completed coursework in dance at June Taylor's School of Dance in New York City. Her professional affiliations include the Dance Teachers Club of Connecticut, Inc., Dance Masters of America, Inc. and the National Dance Teachers Association of America.
