Capoeira is a traditional fusion of martial arts and dance. African slaves in Brazil created Capoeira over 500 years ago.
The members of Grupo Cafu Capoeira are adamant about staying true to the art of capoeira, which is essential to preserving Afro-Brazilian culture. We bring passion, dedication to technique to the art, along with a belief that each new student is capable of playing a good, solid game, if he or she plays with good technique, from the heart and with safety in mind. Don't miss your chance to see this dance that is backed by so much rich Brazilian tradition and history.
